Just across the intersection from the Gold Line's Soto Station, Boyle Heights could be getting some transit-oriented development in the form of a six-story mixed-user. The documents moving through city planning now, as seen on Building LA, show that the 50-unit complex would have 70 parking spaces, 3,400 square feet of groundfloor commercial space, and office space on the top floor. The site is currently occupied by a few residential buildings, some of which date back to the nineteenth century, but so goes progress we guess? Metro's currently soliciting bids for the vacant lot directly across the street from this development, as well as other parcels surrounding the station.
