Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who is known for smoking crack while "in one of [his] drunken stupors," hating gay people, and possibly orchestrating prison beatings of his enemies, is visiting Los Angeles to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live!: "It's a beautiful city, clean. Very impressed ... It's very similar to Toronto. When you go somewhere, it's very multicultural like Toronto is. I've met people from across the world, and it's the whole atmosphere. It's vibrant. It's a booming city — just like Toronto is." Conveniently, Mayor Garcetti is out of town. [SCPR]
