1929 Spanish in West Adams Historic District Asks $750K

New, 15 comments

The majority of the charm of this "character driven" house comes from its sweeping staircase, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, rustic fireplace, and (mostly) lovely tile work. (The character we imagine: silent film star.) As we often see with celebrities, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival in the West Adams Terrace historic preservation overlay zone has had some work done to help it age gracefully; there have been upgrades to modernize the kitchen (which has granite countertops), a remodeled bathroom in the private second-floor master suite, and new central heating and copper plumbing. There's also a sizable backyard that currently houses a freestanding hot tub and a detached structure with home-office potential. Asking prize is $750,000.
