When fired USC football coach Lane Kiffin tried to offload this Manhattan Beach mansion in December for $6.995 million (he'd bought it for $5.5 million in June 2012), it seemed like maybe, just maybe, he was in a rush to pay back the money the Trojans lent him to buy the house back when he was a promising new hire. USC might be getting a check soon, then, since he's just managed to offload it for $6.5 million, but who would buy such an expensive, humdrum place? The LA Times says Anchorman/Dodgeball star Vince Vaughn—who'd last year bought a La Cañada Flintridge house that our cousins over at Curbed National called "numbingly traditional"—is now the proud owner of the much larger but equally unexciting 7,308-square-foot, Craftsmanesque McMansion. The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house was built in 2002 and does come with a lot of amenities: a dog run, saltwater pool, spa, firepit, guesthouse, three-car garage, outdoor kitchen and 20-foot-tall ceilings.
