Long Beachers panicked when they heard Dunkin' Donuts was not interested in incorporating an old-timey giant donut into their forthcoming flagship store on Seventh Street. But now the store's franchisee has decided to keep the glazed treat, which hovers above a shuttered coffee shop, instead of tossing it in a storage facility. They'll have to proceed with caution as they're demolishing the old building and need to remove and reposition the donut, which is hollow and made of fiberglass. [Press-Telegram]
