MID-WILSHIRE: That giant Orchard Supply Hardware has opened on South La Brea. It brings 30,080 square feet of indoor space and a 3,800-square-foot outdoor nursery and garden, with rooftop parking for 100 cars.

DTLA: Gap has shut down its 1969 denim studio in Downtown. The SF-based retailer moved their design team to New York in order to have a more "centralized, global design approach and powerful creative engine."

MALIBU: Aviator Nation is opening in Malibu. Founded by Paige Mycoskie, the brand's new psychedelic surfer hangout boasts a wall of vintage records (Grateful Dead, Beach Boys, etc.), a massive hand-painted mural and one seriously rad galactic teepee.

PASADENA: Take a peek at Mohawk General Store's quaint and cool store at One Colorado. The 1,000-square-foot hub houses APC tops, Reinhard Plank hats and Pasadena-inspired Apolis bags.
