This much-needed rain in Southern California has been brutal, causing trouble since it began late last night, flooding streets and necessitating at least one dramatic river rescue. Areas of the San Gabriel Valley foothills that were affected by the recent Colby fire have had it especially bad, facing mudslides and power outages, reports KPCC. We've corralled six crazy images showing the toll the LA rain is taking and, seeing as how this storm isn't expected to let up until at least tomorrow night, we expect there will only be more as the weekend progresses.
