Cornerspotted: The Automobile Club in University Park

The first correct guesser on this week's Cornerspotter was Peter McFerrin, who both named the intersection and knew that this was a photo of the Automobile Club of Southern California, right on the corner of Figueroa and Adams in University Park. The wonderful building was designed by architects Sumner P. Hunt and Silas R. Burns, who also worked together on such local gems as the Southwest Museum and the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The Auto Club building has undergone some additions and changes over the years, but remains at the same corner, recognizable and fantastic as ever.
