True, Michael Maltzan's Sixth Street Viaduct project is considerably larger than his pedestrian bridge under construction now at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, but size isn't everything. This bridge, when completed, will serve the important function of connecting the busier galleries with some "that new visitors are most likely to miss," says the LA Times. The steel bridge, which will measure just under 34 feet, is scheduled to open in February 2015.
