Orange and Silver Lines Picking Up Ridership Steam

New, 25 comments

Yesterday, we looked at ridership on Metro rail, but since rail isn't the only way to get around in this town, today we're looking at bus ridership with charts and numbers from Let's Go LA. For these calculations, all lines except the Orange and Silver have been calculated as their rapid bus and their local line. So, Santa Monica in the 4 and 704, Wilshire is the 20 and 720, Venice is the 33 and 733, Vermont is the 204 and 754, and Western refers to the 207 and 757). Graphing out the daily bus ridership, the Orange and Silver lines have seen a gradual rise in boardings while Venice and Santa Monica lines appear to have leveled out. So while they may not have the highest numbers overall, they're definitely gaining riders while others might have peaked.
