Grand Park's new 3,700-square-foot playground isn't officially open until this Saturday, but guests to the park might have caught a peek of the 20-foot-tall tree fort sprouting two slides, or the lumpy, "undulating landscape" like something out of a Teletubbies episode through the temporary fencing. The $1-million, forest-inspired playground by Grand Park designers Rios Clementi Hale Studios is designed to serve children up to 12 years old, says the Downtown News, and provides myriad ways for children to get good and tired, be it from climbing ropes or sliding through a ten-foot-long tunnel.
