AD's Coca-Cola Factory Gets a New Look as Fourth & Traction

New, 15 comments

Since the all-cash purchase last spring of the former Coca-Cola factory in the Arts District, we've known this spot was destined to become creative office space, but this is the first we're seeing of the new look for the strikingly handsome brick building, henceforth known as Fourth & Traction. According to a release for the development, the restoration and renovation taking place will capitalize on the structure's 14-foot ceilings, big windows, and "panoramic rooftop views," add a new atrium in the lobby, and create a 10,000-square-foot rooftop "penthouse" with a landscaped deck, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit.

The completed building will also have a 300-space parking structure rising next to it (which is nutso for the AD) and a "flagship restaurant" on the ground floor. Basically, it'll be a super-cool place to work. The project, a venture by GPI Companies and Atlas Capital, is scheduled for completion toward the end of 2015.
