County Supes have voted in favor of a a five-year project that would take debris out of the basin above Pasadena's Devil's Gate Dam, thus avoiding possible flooding in the future, they say. ("A huge amount of debris has accumulated in the basin as a result of the 2009 Station fire and subsequent storms.") But many Pasadenans are displeased with Supes' dam plan, though, wishing they'd voted in favor of an alternative they say would be quieter, just as safe, and better for wildlife that calls the area home.
