According to the Los Feliz Improvement Association's historical survey, this attractive Monterey Colonial Revival was designed by Leo F. Bachman, who was also the architect for the renowned Mellenthin building company. Built in 1940, the three-bedroom, three-bath hacienda's features include hardwood floors, a great room with a beehive fireplace and beamed ceilings (which unfortunately have been given the dreaded white paint treatment), casement windows, sliding glass doors, and a 1941 mural painted by noted artist Louise Paine. Sited on a 9,025-square-foot lot with mature trees, it's listed with an asking price of $1.425 million.
