1914 Cottage Fixer in Silver Lake Back-Flipping For $319k

New, 11 comments

Hmmmm, what to make of this listing? According to public records, this shingled cottage on a walk street in the eastern outskirts of Silver Lake last traded hands on August 26 for $665,000. As the photos and description from its previous listing vividly illustrate, the century-old cottage was in rather dire straits and had "one room with a completely collapsed roof." Just six weeks later, it's popped back up again looking cute as a button, though apparently still in dire straits below the surface. Per the new listing copy, the two-bedroom, one-bath bungalow is an "investor's delight" and "a fixer perfect for a rehabber." Asking price is a bidding-war-inciting $319,000.
