Even in its heyday, the House of Davids had nothing on Venice's El Bordello Alexandra. The exterior of the seven-unit apartment building is adorned with a wealth of statues and sculptures, including "a dragon built from vintage Harley-Davidson parts," a dolphin, a statue of Poseidon, and "a 12-foot-tall charging centaur". The interior is crowded with chandeliers, Prussian helmets, a pipe organ, a lot of purple paint, and some very dedicated tenants. The rent is between $1,900 and $2,500, but there probably aren't any openings. [LAT]
