Welcome to Cornerspotter, a weekly Curbed game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Los Angeles and its past!

This beautiful building, built in the late 1920s, has stuck around despite the incredible development in the neighborhood surrounding it. Even the parking lot in the foreground of this photo—taken in 1974—has been transformed into something else. If the parking lots aren't safe, then what is? Think you know where this wonderful and historic building is located? Tell us in the comments!
