Welcome to Cornerspotter, a weekly Curbed game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Los Angeles and its past!
This photo, taken in 1920, really emphasizes the military history of that building in the background. The building was also used as an event venue during the 1932 Olympics and was more recently reborn as an institution of scientific learning. Think you recognize this building? Tell us in the comments!
