Hollywood's experiencing an explosion of hospitable development, with boutique hotels in the works on Cahuenga near Sunset, near Hollywood and Western, and at Selma and Cahuenga (the Dream Hotel, now under construction). Add one more into the mix, says Building LA: developers filed papers with the city's Planning Department last week to build a 12-story hotel on Wilcox, between Sunset and Selma. The paperwork for the hotel doesn't specify a number of rooms, or much info at all, except that there will be a penthouse. There's a small commercial building on the half-acre site that will have to go before this new project can rise, and it probably won't be the last building around here to fall in the rush to hotel-ification.
