The delightfully Trapper-Keeper-ish cover of Caltrans's report on the High Desert Corridor project is gone, removed after the LA Times started asking around about the glorious psychedelic graphic design mess. "We don't want people to discount the report … This is a legal, professional document," says a rep for the agency. She adds that the butterflies were there because they "looked pretty" and that the turtle labeled "Brad" was named for "former San Bernardino County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt, a champion of the High Desert Corridor project."
