Inside The Ace Hotel's Eatery, WaterMarke Tower's New Restaurant, Burrito Vending Machine In WeHo

DOWNTOWN: Everyone's pretty excited for the opening of the Ace Hotel in the former United Artists building on Broadway, and now we can thrill over the adjoining restaurant, LA Chapter. A Brooklyn duo—from Five Leaves in Greenpoint—is helming the California comfort food bistro. Handsome design, which includes sidewalk seating, is from GREC Architects and Commune Design. Tons of pics here.

DOWNTOWN: Faith & Flower, a California restaurant highlighting influences from Asia, Latin America, North Africa, and the Mediterranean, opens next month in the old Towne space in the WaterMarke tower. Maybe the building's owners can help out a little by doing something with that awful parking podium above the restaurant (glass panels?).

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Maybe you saw this on Facebook or Instagram—WeHo is now home to a burrito vending machine. Located inside a gas station—always a good sign—the machine dispenses Mexican "treats" with free range chicken and uncured bacon. Another machine is on its way to Culver City. Somehow, cupcake ATMs sound less scary.
