That streetcar's getting ready to turn north onto Figueroa Street from Piedmont Avenue! Commenter PDT7269 got it first, but they weren't the only one to guess correctly. Neon Palm also identified the white building on the left side—it's the Arroyo Seco Library. The library still has the same name and stands on the same site, though it now resembles the nearby rock walls more than it did back in 1946. Also the same: those palm trees, which must be ancient by now.
