If you've been priced out of every other single-family house but still have $400k on you, 27 detached, two-story houses have just opened at Vineland Metro, and the developers say they're the only new residences for sale right now in this pocket of North Hollywood. Starting in the low $400,000s, each house is outfitted with suburbany amenities like granite countertops, two-car garages, a private patio, and energy-saving features like tankless water heaters. The floorplans of the "Spanish and cottage-style" houses range from 1,594 to 1,920 square feet, and have as many as three bathrooms and five bedrooms. The development is about two miles from the North Hollywood Red Line station and the NoHo Arts District, where pricey apartments at the Hesby opened last year and there were rumblings about a possible boutique hotel to cater to all those downtown theater patrons and revelers. VM is also directly across the street from a Target, which is not included in their fact sheet, but probably should be.
