Hint: Where Was This Streetcar Running in 1946?

New, 13 comments

Welcome to Cornerspotter, a weekly Curbed game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Los Angeles and its past!

This 1946 image shows a Los Angeles Transit Lines streetcar crossing what was (and still is) one of the main rights-of-ways through this neighborhood. You can still see the streetcar tracks in the road today! The buildings shown to the left and right of the streetcar are still there in spirit, though one has a slightly altered form now.
