Come 2016, Playa Vista will be home to a 199-unit senior living complex (called The Fountainview at Gonda Westside) designed by architectural powerhouse Gensler, and it looks so cool, the residents will probably have to beg generations of their progeny to leave. Like a beautiful, sedentary cruise ship, the upper-crust development will have a swimming pool, garden, spa, and observation deck on the roof, plus an on-site theater, library and fitness center.
