This busy intersection hasn't changed all that much since this photo was taken in 1972—there's still a gas station and a donut shop on the same corners, thought the names have definitely changed. The photo shows a local business owner posting a warning asking drivers to exercise extra caution as the school year is about to begin. Nothing much has changed in that respect either, as the intersection remains one of the most dangerous in the city, according to a crowd-sourced KPCC map.
