Buy A 1930s Spanish in Beverly Grove With Amazing Vintage Tile (And Really Depressing Pool)

New, 24 comments

The listing copy for this three-bedroom, two-bath house in Beverly Grove describes it as an "excellent remodel opportunity," and we're very much inclined to agree. Though at some point in recent years the 1931 Spanish-style residence got unfortunately saddled with grim window bars and one of the world's bleakest swimming pools, happily, it's still chock-full of lovely original features, including stepped-tray ceilings, inlay wood doors and archways, wall stencils, built-ins, glass doorknobs, French windows, and to-die-for tile. Sited on a 6,050-square-foot lot on Drexel Avenue, it's asking $1.25 million.
