Back in January we noticed mid-century architect Raphael Soriano's 1938 Polito House in the West Hollywood Hills hit the market. Asking $1.895 million the two-bedroom, two-bath failed to make buyers swoon despite its architectural pedigree – it was featured in Architectural Record in 1946. Now it's back, with better listing photos and a price chop, down to $1.595 million. The three-story house features cantilevered balconies, a bridge to terraced gardens, a pool, and a continuous horizontal band of steel casement windows. What might have kept buyers away? The square footage is compact, with two bedrooms and two baths in 1,496 square feet. Perhaps this price chop will bring them back. --Marissa Gluck
