Catching our attention on Craigslist today is this somewhat confusing, definitely hyperbolic notice regarding an "Astonishing and Extra Charming ARTIST STYLE 1 Bedroom LOFT" for rent in Highland Park. Per the description, the available unit is "an exclusive Art Deco/'50s Vintage apartment on the second level of a Victorian Mansion," although lower down in the ad, we're told the apartment is on the third level of the residence, which was built in post-Victorian 1920. Googling the address turns up this Loopnet listing from 2004, which informs us that the property in question is part of the Highland Park Villas, "a 25-unit apartment complex consisting of six separate buildings, including a six-unit fully-restored historical Victorian house" located on a .77 acre lot across from Sycamore Grove Park. Features of the loft up for grabs include hardwood floors, vintage tile, stove, and light fixtures, and one dedicated parking spot. Monthly rent is $1,375.
