NELA Union Will Bring 52 Little Houses to Glassell Park

New, 26 comments

UPDATE 5:45 *Work is underway on a slew of new little townhouses on a freeway-adjacent empty lot in Glassell Park--52 to be exact. Each house, developed by Warmington Residential, will be three stories, and floorplans will include two-, three-, and four-bedroom units all ranging in size between 1,100 and 2,000 square feet; all will include enclosed front porches and second floor decks, and be built to exceed California's green building guidelines. Planned communal spaces include young urban professional requirements like a dog park and vegetable patch.

Mark Mullin of Tracy Do Real Estate (which is selling the project) tells us that "it goes without saying that, as hot as Glassell Park has been, it has never seen a development on this scale. We think NELA Union is in the just-right spot, on a wide stretch of Eagle Rock Blvd. where it won't have a big impact on congestion, nor block anyone's view." Move-in dates and pricing haven't been finalized yet but the developer is aiming for the first quarter of 2014, with prices ranging from the high $400,000s to the high $500,000.*An earlier version of this post referred to the project as a small lot development. It isn't.
