Back in 2010, the City Council approved a 56-condo development with 9,000 square feet of retail space for the northern end of La Brea, just across from the giant The Avenue apartments. Development nearby has exploded since then, but it's been crickets for this project for three and a half years. But earlier this week, an eagle-eyed tipster sent us a photo indicating the project may be moving again, and lo and behold, a demolition permit was reactivated last month and an inspection was requested earlier today. We can't find anything more recent than the 2010 approvals--anyone know if the plans have changed since then? Here's hoping they're better conceived than those for pedestrian-repelling The Avenue.
