Per the Listing: "Rocky Root was a local artist stonemason. The La Crescenta Ashram & Cathedral in Santa Fe, NM are among the projects he worked on. He collected artifacts of the American Deserts including waterwheels from old mining camps & used many of these in the house, landscaping & hardscaping of this home. The owner says, folks can come back to their roots and discover the cadence and music of their own hearts. Rocky landscaped & added architectural features, creatively using rock & semi-precious stones to make a truly distinctive, storybook environment. You will be charmed by the custom brick & stone wall gracing the entry to the circular driveway. The gated grounds feature a stone and masonry entry. Behind this storybook entry is an oasis of ponds, waterfalls, patios, garden areas, a fire-pit & BBQ all set amid mature shade trees. The 3 BR 2 Bath home includes a large open living rm & dining rm combo featuring a stone fireplace and mantle. Also a guest house w Murphy Bed AND a workshop."

Apparently, the Rocky Art House (facebook page) is a big deal for the artistic set and probably looks a lot better in person, because the pictures make it look like a big mish-mosh of rocks, iron gates, and overgrown plants. A video on Vimeo shows one person touring the house and giving narration about what she is seeing. The owner of this house should appreciate rocks and stuff and art and not want to knock it down.
