Pricey SaMo Condo Wows in a Completely Terrible Way

New, 16 comments

If you've ever driven up PCH and wondered what that green glass mid-century building is like on the inside ... well, let's hope it doesn't all look like this. A two-bedroom condo at 101 Ocean Avenue has just hit the market, and it is a becarpeted, bemirrored, bemuraled beaut. The "luxuriously appointed" living room with custom carpeting and "beveled antique mirror wall" has ocean views and a grand piano, which the listing suggests might come with the condo. There's an "inviting library/dining rm w/stunning detailed ceiling" attached to the room, and shimmery gold curtains throughout. The master bedroom features frescoes (commemorating past vacations? Though that doesn't explain the moon on the ceiling), two walk-in closets, and a carpeted bathroom with room for big marble tub and chaise longue if you really want to linger. Built in 1963 and renovated in 1993, the building has a pool, barbecue, gym, and 24-hour doorman, with HOAs of $2,362 a month. The 2,902-square-foot unit is listed for $3.395 million. But the view is nice.
