Starchitect Peter Zumthor's proposed redesign of LACMA will, as feared, "'severely impact' six of the nine [La Brea Tar Pits], and a proposed cantilever overhang would shadow the lake pit"!!!! But it's not really any big deal, because the designs are totally preliminary and LACMA is fully prepared to change them and to work with the Page and Natural History Museums. Still, the Board of Supervisors were weirdly needy on this and needed to be reassured. [LAT]
