Sprawling 1930s Mission Revival in Toluca Lake Asking $2.5MM

New, 31 comments

According to the trusty Movieland Directory, this rather lovely Mission Revival in Toluca Lake is the former home of Hollywood soundman Charles David Forrest, whose career in film and TV spanned an impressive five decades. Built in 1935, the 5,000-square-foot hacienda features seven bedrooms, six baths, vaulted beamed ceilings, tile floors, five wood-burning fireplaces, numerous skylights, wrought iron details, French doors, and an "expansive enclosed courtyard" with a 20-by-40-foot pool. Last sold in 2005 for $1.745 million, the .32-acre property is now listed with an asking price of $2.499 million.
