Santa Monica is throwing a *private party (UPDATE: It is NOT open to the public) on Wednesday to celebrate the topping-off of a parking garage (light refreshments will be served!). The 11-story eight-story Second Street garage at least offers groundfloor retail, 90 bike racks, and 19 motorcycle spots along with the 700 parking spaces. This thrilling new amenity should be finished by the end of the year. [Patch]
