When most collectors run out of space, they stop collecting. Sports fan Gary Cypres bought a 30,000-square-foot warehouse in South LA, called it the Sports Museum of Los Angeles, and kept right on collecting. Now he's looking to unload the $10-million collection (which isn't open to the public), including a bunch of Dodgers memorabilia: "Cypres said the former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt had expressed interest in housing the Dodgers portion of the collection as part of a stadium redevelopment plan. When McCourt sold the club, the new ownership group told Cypres it was interested in displaying only a few items." Imagine that, a Frank McCourt story where he's not the bad guy. [NY Times]
