Architect Lorcan O'Herlihy is all over WeHo this month (and in general): the Sunset|La Cienega project that his firm LOHA contributed to is getting underway (only a decade late), and the planning commission has also approved his plans for a seven-unit modern courtyard complex on San Vicente Boulevard. The building will replace a 1905 bungalow that was denied landmark status in 1990 because it had been substantially altered over time. According to the plans, the project will include seven two-bedroom units opening on to a small central courtyard, and 16 parking spaces. The developer sought permission to build units 115-square-feet larger than permitted by code, which WeHoVille says was granted. That seems way to easy.
