When you see listing copy that shouts "No Expense Spared! The Arden House. Completely & luxuriously remodeled Colonial in sought after Larchmont," you can sort of expect what the house is going to look like, and at first glance this house delivers. This Hancock Park house is more than 4,400 square feet with five bedrooms and three and a half baths, large entertaining rooms, Viking appliances in the kitchen, and some nice detailing, stained glass and stuffy furniture throughout. The first clue that this is something different is the mural in the music room, but when you get to the second muraled room (which also proclaims "GOD LOVES YOU"), you know you're in for a treat. The green room with the conservatory effect is good, but the sellers really went all out in the kid's room with a jungle, sailboats, and hot-air balloons on the walls and many airplanes dangling from the ceiling. You just do not see enough whimsy in multi-million dollar houses these days. The house also features a guest unit over the garage, a gatehouse, "multiple wet bars in/out," pool, and strip of grass, and is on the market for $3.45 million.
