A Ton of Awful Bricks Off the Strip Can Be Yours for $2.575MM

We can't help but feel a twinge of grudging admiration for the gumption of the agent tasked with touting this Big Bad Wolf-proof residence, or, as the listing would have it, "THIS ARCHITECTURAL GEM," above the Sunset Strip. Built in 1962, the well-fortified home features three bedrooms, two and a half baths, hardwood and marble floors, a heated pool, and a rather striking fountain statue. The glass-half-full description points out that the 2,436-square-foot house's kitchen "HAS BEEN REMODELED WITH STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES AND STONE, " then concedes that the "REMAINDER OF HOME IS SOMEWHAT DATED," before going on to reassure us that it "CAN BE TRANSFORMED INTO A WORK OF ART." Well, stranger things have happened, we suppose. And the property does occupy a half-acre lot. Asking price is $2.575 million.
