DTLA's 22-Story Eighth and Hope Mixed-User Moving Fast

New, 82 comments

Wood Partners's as-of-yet unnamed mixed-user at Eighth and Hope is now up to its eighth floor, with 14 more to go. With a dream location--steps from Ralphs, LA Fitness, the Fashion Institute, a soon-to-be-renovated mall, a park, and a subway station--the 290 units probably won't come cheap when they go online next year. There building will also have a helipad, 5,000 square feet of retail, six floors of parking (two underground), and a landscaped "amenity plaza" above the elevated parking, with a pool, jacuzzi, and club room. Preston Partnership from Atlanta is behind the design, which features an all-glass façade that's supposed to offer killer views.
