Jeremy Renner's Insane Holmby Hills Flip Went For $24 Million

New, 55 comments

Listed for:$24.95 million
Listed on: January 13, 2013
Sold for: $24 million
Size: The 10,000-square-foot house has six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms on 1.89 acres.
Location: 107 North Delfern Drive, Homby Hills
The Lowdown: Actor/flipper Jeremy Renner picked up this property for $7 million in 2010 and rebuilt it with architecture by Phillip Vertoch and design by Renner's frequent partner Kristoffer Winters. The result? A "roaring 20's Art Deco style home fit for a 21st century Howard Hughes." Renner says that each flip is bigger and braver than the one before; color us curious to see what'll follow this nutso place. Update 2:30pm: The LA Times reports that the buyer was none other than British luxury developer Nick Candy (behind the failed 9900 Wilshire redevelopment) Update 8/20: Actually, a rep for Candy & Candy Limited tells us now that the buyer is actually Nick's brother/business partner Christian Candy.

Listed for: $6.9 million
Listed on: April 5, 2013
Sold for: $6.85 million
Size: A 4,584-square-foot house with four bedrooms and five bathrooms on two lots.
Location: 401 Twenty-Fifth Street, Santa Monica
The Lowdown: This gem of a house was built in 1913 for Miracle Mile developer Thomas C. Bundy and designed by Sumner Hunt and Silas Burns (the architects behind the Wilshire Ebell Theater, LA Tennis Club, and much else besides). As we noted back in April, the "Colonial Revival features four bedrooms, five baths, four fireplaces, hardwood and tile floors, paneled wainscoting, leaded windows, French doors, built-ins, a lovely rambling garden, a solar-heated pool, and guesthouse with bath."

Listed for: $5.395 million
Listed on: May 13, 2013
Sold for: $5.33 million
Size: Three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,365 square feet.
Location: 708 Trenton Drive, Beverly Hills
The Lowdown: You know an agent is stretching when the phrase "rare singe story home" appears in the listing. This 1950 house next to the Los Angeles Country Club was sold in probate as a probable teardown. According to Redfin, the 0.45-acre property was assessed at $542,000, so it clearly hadn't been on the market in a loooong time.
