The Sepulvedas were a Spanish Mexican family of landholders and power brokers in Los Angeles's early days, but their influence was surely well on the wane by 1910, when they maaaaybe built this adorable cottage on a Venice walk street just a handful of houses down from the boardwalk. It's hitting the market now for the first time in half a century, according to the listing; "the interiors retain the original plan" and "Period details include doors, hardware, windows, claw foot tub, fittings, O'Keefe and Merritt stove, vintage wall-paper, lighting fixtures and cast Iron stoves." There are also four bedrooms (two with sunrooms), one and three-quarter baths, a front sunroom, an eat-in kitchen, a laundry room/workshop, and front and back gardens. And even though "All systems require restoration," it charmed the pants off someone and quick: the house was listed two weeks ago for $1.795 million and already has a sale pending.
