ALL OVER: So, let's just give in and embrace this Cronut fad; it's just too much effort to resist. Eater makes it even more difficult with their list of the best places in LA to find copycats of the donut/croissant hybrid, which born on the rough streets of Manhattan just months ago.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Lola's, the go-to spot for some girl talk or flirting over martinis, will soon be gone. The restaurant/bar closes September 8, 17 years after it opened and, maybe, served the first apple martini. Rumor has it that the folks behind the Laurel Hardware restaurant on Santa Monica Boulevard are in escrow for the space.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: A little further west, scandal surrounds the proposed PUMP Lounge on Santa Monica and Robertson Boulevards. But when a Real Housewife is behind the venture, that shouldn't come as a surprise--Lisa Vanderpump (get it now?) and her husband are being sued by some folks who had previously had their eyes on the PUMP spot; they allege Lisa and hubby soured their deal so they could swoop in. Lisa says hogwash.
