The controversially-named Tongva Park in Santa Monica is nearing completion, as you can see in these pics taken covertly by LA Currents and posted on their Facebook page. The six-acre green space nearly abuts the ocean and features several Ocean Avenue overlooks that kind of resemble hollowed-out alien eggs. The park does look quite inviting, with lots of grass and space to wander--you can thank James Corner Field Operations, the smart landscape architecture team that also put together New York's now-legendary High Line Park. Last we heard, the park was supposed to open this month.
