The fact that the soon-to-be-under-construction Crenshaw Line light rail will stop 1.5 miles short of LAX is not news to anyone who's been paying attention, but the LA Times recaps the whole tale anyway. Metro and LAX's operator are still hammering out how to bridge that gap, with a finalized decision coming late next year. One interesting note: the most likely alternative, an automated people mover, could block views of the Theme Building--though elevated trains sailing past the futuristic edifice actually seems pretty fitting.
