A Hipster Flip in Glassell Park Just Sold For $900,000

New, 192 comments

This Glassell Park house with a pool from hipster flipper pioneers Better Shelter may not have impressed the Curbed commentariat when it hit the market in May, but it sure as heck wowed someone: it closed last week with a final price of $900,000. That's $101,000 over asking. The 1960 ranch has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,635 square feet, and is set on half an acre; Better Shelter fixed it up, put in a pool, (controversially) painted the fireplace white, and added the de rigueur horizontal fencing. For that they were rewarded with a sale price more than $400,000 above what they paid in November.
