Tilden Terrace, Culver City's self-described "first affordable housing development for large families," saw its first 15 families move in last week. The four-story, 33-unit project includes more than 10,000 square feet of (still-forthcoming) retail, landscaping, and widened sidewalks fronting Washington Boulevard. The area, in Culver City's west end, is not the nicest to look at (that gun store!), but Tilden Terrace is definitely a step in the right direction. [Patch]
