Nightclub Owner's 1960s Modern With Kitschy Kitchen in Beachwood Canyon Asking $1.4 Million

New, 39 comments

According to public records, this mid-century modern in Beachwood Canyon belongs to Bryan Suckut, owner of the Studio City lounge Page 71. Prior to getting into the nightclub biz, Mr. Suckut was a fashion photographer, a tidbit of info that goes a long way toward illuminating certain design choices made in the kitchen. And while said choices may not be everyone's particular cup of Celestial Seasonings, it should be noted that the previous incarnation left much to be desired. Per the listing, the 1,704-square-foot split-level residence was designed in 1963 by architect Robert Lee, and features three bedrooms, two baths, walls of glass, "tongue-in-groove redwood & steel accents," a brick fireplace, built-ins, swimming pool, and an "outdoor living room" with fire pit, spa, and shower. Last sold in 2009 for $1.237 million, it's now asking $1.399 million.
