West Hollywood has extended the hours parkers will have to feed meters, but they want you to know they've done it for the good of society. The new policy means that you'll have to pay to park in more places on Sundays, and at some spots you'll have to keep pumping quarters until 2 am, six days a week (see the map above). The change will make a little extra money for the Sheriff's Department, but the city says they've really done this for the benefit of night shift workers and bar goers who don't like to stay out for more than two hours, and that the change will lower parking prices at neighboring garages, save the environment, and improve the quality of life for all West Hollywooders. Just not the ones who stay out late or have overnight visitors.
